Ergononomically adapting the braille writing stylus through a User-Centered Design approach
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the light of a mapping carried out by Occupational Therapists from the Federal University of Maranhão's (Brazil) extension project called Projeto Incluir (The Inclusivity Project ), the braille writing stylus tool was singled out, among other Assistive Technologies, for its lack of a more ergonomic design. The aim of this article is therefore to develop a ergonomic design for the braille writing stylus. The methodology used was GODP (Orientational Guide for Project Development), which structures a more empathetic and collaborative design process. As a result, the work succeeded in meeting the stated objective, creating a new version of the product.
